To enable the ATE Community to collaborate regionally with industry partners, within and across disciplines, on the transformation of associate degree programs to prepare US technicians for the work of the future
What We Have Achieved
In fulfillment of our project goals, we have:
- Identified new levels of understanding of the future technician’s role
- Provided detailed knowledge of cross-discipline and emerging-discipline issues relative to the future of work
- Developed recommendations and resources for updating STEM technical programs
- Identified industry’s perception of the future of work and implications for technician education
- Identified how new technologies impact technician education
- Fostered regional collaboration by
addressing instructional issues related to work of the future
