<add hotel reservation link>Preparing Technicians for the Future of Work has developed tools designed to help colleges integrate the skill areas that comprise the Cross-Disciplinary STEM Core —advanced digital literacy, data knowledge and analysis, and business knowledge and processes—into technical instruction. The project’s Framework white paper outlines recommendations for both classroom and campus-wide adoption.
In this workshop, we’ll cover the strategies faculty can use for introducing these topics to students by using cross-disciplinary workplace scenarios and the project’s free instructional cards. You will also collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to explore scenario development and create a plan for implementation of two instructional cards. Finally, we’ll introduce you to more teaching resources and a toolkit for adoption at the program and college levels.
